As a cooperative, Lekkernassûh is stronger and more effective with every new person that joins in to help. Our aim is to implement a program providing healthy, honest and tasty produce that’s accessible to everyone in The Hague – and the more people that want to help us, the better we can do it. We believe in food – as a social binder that, in its simplicity, has universal values. In virtually every culture, it allows people to express hospitality; to show care for their loved ones; to both pay attention to, and respect, their surroundings.
At Lekkernassuh it is all about cooperation, together we make sure that all activities in and around the fresh market and the packaging-free shop happen. We are always looking for people who like to help with different tasks.
Would you like to come and help on a flexible basis, when you have time? Then the market team at one of the locations might be a good match for you.
Would you like to contribute on a regular basis and be active behind the scenes? That is also possible. What about buying the vegetables, maintaining the website, thinking along with the board and more.

Since February 2018, we have been working together with Timebank.cc. This means that we value people who help us with Timebank hours (and that it is possible to pay for your vegetable package, cheese, and products from the package free shop at Lekkernassuh with Timebank hours).

Market team
Working at one of the markets is very diverse: You can help building up the market, during the market you can stock crates, weigh vegetables, help at the cash register or sell cheese. Or help cleaning up at the end of the market. There is plenty to do!

Package free shop
The package-free shop in the Gymzaal (Witte de Withstraat 127) is open on Saturday, every 2 weeks, from 10-1 PM. We are always looking for volunteers who can help with selling the goods.

Transport
If you like to help with (bicycle) transport, and you are available on Wednesday morning/ beginning of the afternoon, this one is for you.
You start with picking up the vegetables at the Gymzaal and transport them by bicycle to our pick-up points and the various Lekkernassûh locations in The Hague.
