Pakket week 49: 4 december

pastinaak

Onder andere in je pakket: wortelpeterselie. Dit is een variëteit van peterselie met een witte penwortel, waardoor hij op pastinaak lijkt. De smaak lijkt op die van pastinaak en knolselderij. Wortelpeterselie is rijk aan vit B2 en C. Het blad kan op dezelfde manier gebruikt worden als bladpeterselie. Hoe je het verschil ziet tussen een wortelpeterselie en pastinaak: de bovenkant van een pastinaak is rond en bol. Bij de wortelpeterselie loopt de bovenkant van de wortel schuin af.

Among other things in this weeks package: Turnip rooted parsley. This is a variety of parsley with a white taproot, which makes it resemble parsnip. The taste is similar to that of parsnip and celeriac. It is rich in vit B2 and C. The leaf can be used in the same way as leaf parsley. How you see the difference between a turnip rooted parsley and parsnip: the top of a parsnip is round and spherical. With the turnip rooted parsley the top of the root is sloping.
